Babe Ruth AAU

Parents -

Plymouth Babe Ruth will once again offer registered players an opportunity to participate in our AAU and Xtreme programs.

The AAU program is designed for our incoming 13 and 14 year-olds in both the Downie and Rose Divisions to compete in either the Diamond or Open Divisions of NEAAU. The major benefit is that we can monitor who is pitching for their Babe Ruth or HS teams and thus protect the player's arms. Keeping the AAU program in-house also will keep the cost down. Last year we entered two 13 year-old teams and one 14 year-old team each with 15 players. The fee was $475 with payments made over the course of the winter. This included mostly home games at Forges including a few on the turf at PNHS.

NEAAU begins the first weekend in April consisting of 10-12 double headers. In addition, the our program includes indoor hitting workouts and pitcher/catcher sessions. Uniforms and cold gear are included as well that the players keep.

Our 15 year-olds will participate in the Babe Ruth Xtreme League which competes against other Massachusetts Babe Ruth programs. We opt for the Xtreme league because it begins later and does not conflict with the PS and PN high school baseball schedules.

Once we see how many players are interested we can then decide how many teams we are going to have and select our coaches. The Board of Directors will be meeting in October to discuss the format and cost.

If you are interested, please email Marc Manfredi at no later than October 9th. More information will be distributed by October 30th.

Thank you,

Plymouth Babe Ruth
