Plymouth Babe Ruth will be entering up to a maximum of two teams in the following age groups in the New England AAU Open Division this spring: 13U and 14U. The goal of this program is to provide our players with additional travel baseball during the spring season that will not conflict with the Plymouth Babe Ruth schedule at a lower cost than local AAU "for-profit" programs. In addition, this allows us to monitor pitcher counts and ensure equal playing time.
Teams will play approximately 10 - 12 doubleheaders. Game opponents will be comprised of league games within the NEAAU Open Division as well as non-league games from the Super and Diamond Divisions. Players will also have 10 indoor workouts at Atlantic Baseball Club beginning each Sunday evening in January - March (with the exception of February 1st) as well as 4 Pitcher and Catcher workouts at PCIS on Wednesday evenings February - March, both with trained instructors.
The cost of this program is $475. This includes the following:
Complete Uniform, Hat, Sweatshirt
Field Rental, Lights, Umpires and Game Balls
NEAAU Registration Fees
20 - 24 Game Schedule
10 Indoor Workouts at ABC
4 Indoor Pitcher and Catcher Workouts at PCIS
Guest Baseball Instructors
Great Coaching from Experienced Babe Ruth Coaches
3 Games on the Turf at PNHS
Each team will carry a maximum of 15 players.
Please response back by October 31st if your son is interested to Jim Hanna firstname.lastname@example.org. There will be no tryouts.
Those that respond will be forwarded to the coaches and both teams at each age group will be selected by them. There will be no tryouts. Coaches will be determined by the PBR Board of Directors.
Please keep in mind this is not the Plymouth Babe Ruth District All Star Teams. Both the Downie Division and the Rose Division will have extended summer baseball teams that will be determined during the season which will include Extreme/District Teams and the All Star Summer Baseball League Teams for both divisions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jim Hanna at email@example.com.
